Scientificial research

As a professional educational institution, the West Pomeranian Business School carries out a number of scientific research studies. The following list present the most remarkable of them:

  • The modern financial engineering for start-ups – screening of the initiatory stage in Poland – a grant funded by The National Centre for Research and Development – 2010-2013, more about the project: www.finansedlainnowacji.pl ,
  • “The responsiveness and adaptability of economic units during an economic downturn”
    – a grant funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher education 2009-2012 – more about the project www.dekoniunktura.pl,
  • ‘The households bankruptcy – a social and economic perspective’ – a grant by the Ministry of Science and Higher education 2006-2009,
  • ‘Crisis management in the company’ – a grant by the Ministry of Science and Higher education 2001-2003,
  • ‘The condition of Management Personnel in the West Pomerania region’, designed to identify the strengths and the weaknesses shown by managers in the region and their attitudes towards macroeconomic problems and integration processes. Findings of the research were published in the ‘Manager’ magazine and at the national conference on ‘Intellectual Capital in Polish Enterprises’,
  • ‘International engagement of West Pomeranian enterprises’, carried out in cooperation with Leeds University Centre of International Business,
  • ‘Market orientation of German enterprises operating on the Polish market’, financed by the NATO Advanced Fellowship Programme,
  • ‘The condition of ex- Soviet army military barracks in Poland’. The research was carried out within the DECODE Programme, its results were processed by the US Defence Department,
  • ‘Development of the e-entrepreneurship in the West Pomeranian Region’ carried out in a cooperation with the West Pomeranian Governor – financed with a purposive grant,
  • ‘European Integration and Economics’ – a grant funded by Phare Fiesta Programme,
  • ‘The present state and development prospects of trade, services and public or commercial administration in Szczecin’, financed with a grant from the Mayor of Szczecin City,
