The West Pomeranian Business School is the only one partner from Poland that takes part in “Baltic Challenges and Chances for local and regional development generated by Climate Change” project. The consortium of the project consists of 25 partners from 8 countries. The project lasts from the 25 October 2008 to the 24 January 2012. BalticClimate targets mainly small land medium sized cities and rural areas in all Balic Sea Region countries to support their development.

The Main Objectives of BalticClimate can be identified as follows:

  • to enable Balic Sea Region cities, regions to deal with the climate change issue in a cooperative, integrated and sustainable way;
  • to make the climate change phenomenon understood as a challenge but also as a chance for local and regional overall and sustainable development;
  • to make Baltic Sea Region more competitive for future challenges and to maintain and enhance the common existing identity.

The budget of BalticClimate is contributed from ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) as well as from own contributions of all Project Partners and amounts to a total of 4,220,720 EUR.
